Danny is a British-born gentleman raised in the swampy mangroves of southwest Florida. Surviving a series of life-threatening illness during childhood, he found an unquenchable appetite for stories about the dark side of growing up. With a MFA in Digital Cinema, Danny directed his first feature at age twenty-four — a coming-of-age thriller called, THE ATTIC DOOR. Since then his work has been featured in over forty film festivals across the world, won several awards, and developed within programs such as the Film Independent Episodic Lab. Danny also works as a producer for content studio, Kids at Play, developing a variety of scripted and unscripted projects within the company. Among the dozens of projects in active development, his recent credits with the company include executive producing a hybrid comedy pilot for Pop, producing THE TOLL TOAD with Lizzy Caplan and Martin Starr, producing 150 episodes of the syndicated talk series ME TIME WITH FRANGELA, writing/directing the digital series, ON THE LINE for Viacom Velocity, writing/directing an ad campaign for BUD LIGHT, and producing the half-hour kids series for Disney/YouTube Red, HYPERLINKED. In his spare time as a screenwriter, Danny has teamed up with his partner in life and love — Laura C. Lopez — as they are inspired to write high-concept stories for a diverse audience.

Once a child piano prodigy, Laura left her home in Ecuador at age seventeen to pursue a film education in the United States. This was to the dismay of many of her family members who believed back then that such investment would be, “wasted on a woman.” (Yes, an uncle actually said that to her). Laura persevered and earned an MFA in film with a feature length thesis project called ACTS OF MERCY starring Tovah Feldshuh and indie starlet Aleksa Palladino. Since moving to Los Angeles, Laura has worked as a story producer for networks such as Discovery, Bravo and Food Network. Currently, she has taken time away to develop personal projects while also raising a toddler boy and new baby girl. Inspired to create compelling characters for her kids to look up to in the future, Laura is committed to portraying Latinos as central protagonists in big stories and across all genres.
