Elias Jamieson Brown

Elias is an Australian playwright and screenwriter. As a child, he used to sneak out of bed late at night to watch racy, foreign-language cinema on SBS. Elias' mainstage debut Green Park, was an experimental outdoor production staged by Griffin Theatre Company in 2021. It received unanimous critical acclaim and returned for Sydney Festival in 2022. Audiences were outfitted with a set of binaural headphones and together, they watched two men, meeting at a park bench under the gloom of the setting sun. Elias’ 'finely wrought Darlinghurst noir' was nominated for Best Mainstage Production at the Sydney Theatre Awards and shortlisted for the NSW Premier’s Literary Awards Nick Enright Prize for Playwriting. Elias is represented by Cameron’s Management.
