Evan Parter's political thriller, "The Independent," landed in the top ten on the 2013 Black List, and his Cold War thriller, "Kings Canyon," landed on the 2016 Black List. Before writing full-time, Evan worked in development as an assistant and creative executive at Escape Artists and Carousel Productions. He was born and raised in New York, graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Virginia with a degree in Economics, and spent three years vagabonding through Europe, the Middle East, and Australia, working as a high school history teacher in Wales, and collecting a resume of odd jobs along the way.
