JESS HARRIS is an actress, writer and director best known for her comedy TV series TWENTYSOMETHING (ABC) which she wrote, co-produced, directed and starred in for two seasons. The series received two Australian Academy of Film and Television Award (AACTA) nominations for Best Comedy Series, to go with Jess' Best Performance in a Comedy Series AACTA nomination. Following the show's success, Jess spent extensive time in Los Angeles where she teamed up with experienced producers Eric and Kim Tannenbaum and successfully pitched a pilot spin-off series of twentysomething titled, LAST CALL, to the US cable network FX. In collaboration with show runners Jennifer Crittenden and Gabrielle Allen, Jess also wrote and delivered a pilot script to the same network in late 2015. In recent years, Jess completed two Film Victoria Director's Attachments on RONNY CHIENG INTERNATIONAL STUDENT (ABC) and THE WRONG GIRL (Channel Ten), and directed a block of MUSTANGS FC (ABC) that gained her an Australian Director's Guild nomination. Jess is an experienced writers' room contributor, and has written and performed on an array of different comedies and web series created in Australia.
