John Arends
John Arends is a screenwriter, playwright and journalist. He was one of six writers selected for The Black List Screenwriting Lab in Las Vegas. He has a blind script deal to write a feature film to be produced by the NFL and Charlie Ebersol’s The Company. In 2011, he received the James W. Schwartz Award, the highest honor bestowed by the Greenlee School of Journalism and Communications at Iowa State University. His screenplay Trice, based on the true story of Jack Trice, was a semifinalist in the Academy Nicholl Fellowships.
