Lisa Maria Kerschbaumer grew up in South Tyrol, the german speaking part of Northern Italy. She studied science of communication and film in Bologna and Berlin, where she also worked as a PA to director Terrance Malick and actress Claire Foy. In 2015 she wrote and directed her first short film. Her latest short film "The little Cowboy" was released in 2020 and won the award for "Best Shortfilm" at the Dolomitale Film Festival. Her feature screenplay "Cowboy" won a spot at the "2020 Racconti" screenwriting workshop and is currently in the final stages of development.
