Ramon Watkins is a queer Australian screenwriter, director and editor. A Swinburne and VCA grad, he has cut music videos, commercials, shorts and feature docos, creating his own work along the way. His short film, DANCES was screened internationally at festivals including OUTFEST LA, and earned him the QueerScreen Emerging Filmmaker Award in 2019. He has concurrently honed his voice as a screenwriter, landing the inaugural In Dreams Fellowship in 2020, and focusing on TV projects which interrogate hellish hetero norms. In his downtime, he loves to bash around on the piano and lecture people about the importance of Whitney Houston.
