Spencer Mondshein
A storyteller whose tales combine an innate love of the natural world with his affinity for epic, character-driven genre films. Spencer studied rhetoric and theater at the University of Richmond before traveling to South Africa to receive his Field Guide License. It was there, in the African wilderness, the idea for his first feature, THE SEARCH, was born. THE SEARCH landed on the 2014 Blacklist and was purchased by Voltage Pictures with Gabriela Cowperthwaite (BLACKFISH, MEGAN LEAVEY) attached to direct. Spencer wrote his follow up screenplay, THE FORTRESS, while working as an assistant location manager/scout on NY productions such as BOARDWALK EMPIRE and NURSE JACKIE. Soon after, he was hired to adapt a YA horror series titled, THE DEMON CATCHERS OF MILAN. Spencer is represented by APA and Lit Entertainment.
